2016 Conference Keynote Speaker:

Linda Popp

Linda Popp is a Baltimore artist and art educator. She recently retired after a 41 year career with Baltimore County Public Schools, most recently as the Visual Arts Coordinator.  She taught for 30 years in middle and high schools, and supervised the K–12 visual arts program for 11 years.

​As a long time member of NAEA, she has served in many roles including Secondary Division Director, Supervision Administration Eastern Region Director, and Eastern Region Vice-President. Linda has received numerous awards including Maryland Art Educator in 1999, National Secondary Art Educator in 2000, Eastern Region Art Educator in 2008, and National Supervision Administration Art Educator in 2016. Her work in the community always advocates to all the value of the arts.
 
She is a practicing artist and regularly exhibits her sculptures. She was one of the women in a two-woman show in 2014 and 2015. Most recently, she was in the “Rule Breakers” Exhibit featuring five artists who work in non-traditional ways.
